- Research background in Environmental Justice, International and Domestic Public Policy, Human Rights, and Sustainable Development.
- Extensive experience of recruiting and training campaign staff and volunteers, campaign planning and delivery.

- Experience working in and with international NGO networks and the United Nations system, liaising with officials of international financial institutions, and as an advocate dealing with the United States Government.

- Delegate to several high-level intergovernmental summits and international meetings, most recently the high-level climate change negotiations in Bali, Indonesia (December 2007).
